Low effort being enough means the final product is meh

Tim Cain talked about this on his YouTube channel, it's this notion that the easier it is to do a thing, the more attempts at it you will see that most people won't like. Or at least that's what I got from his video. He talked about this in the context of games, and blamed the lack of effort that it takes to finish a game. Because the bar is so low, maybe there are people who shouldn't be making games, who don't want to do it as much as someone that would do it in more challenging conditions.

I think he's right. Same goes for everything else, including blogging. If not for bearblog, I wouldn't have a blog. I imagine if I was good at html and css, my posts would have been more interesting and had something to them that only a web developer with dedication and creativity would have been able to put into them.

Maybe I should make it more difficult for me to blog, so that only the best ideas see the light.

Reading https://mindlesstalk.bearblog.dev/i-am-going-offline-everyone/ I was reminded how I also went offline recently and wasn't able to reach my friend unless I turned my PC back on, opened Steam and texted him. I can't reach him on my phone, so I have to go through that process, but it's actually a good thing, because it lowers the chance to oversaturate our communication with something useless.

Not being able to reach someone unless you go out of your way feels so good though. Kinda reminds me of AOL, but I wasn't actually around for that, I am just closely familiar with the Emily Is Away games.
